Air Arabia increases Moscow flights to five per week

26 February 2012

Air Arabia, the first and largest low-cost carrier in the Middle East and North Africa, announced today the expansion of service to the Russian capital, Moscow, from the carrier’s primary hub in Sharjah, UAE. Air Arabia now offers five flights per week, an addition of two flights to the existing schedule, making it easier and more convenient for passengers to visit this vibrant city.

The carrier offer direct flights to Moscow on Tuesdays, Wednesday, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays departing Sharjah International Airport at 09:35AM and arriving at Moscow Domodedova Airport at 14:45PM. Return flights will depart from Moscow on the same days at 15:45PM and arrive in Sharjah at 20:50PM.

“We are extremely pleased to announce the expansion of service between Sharjah and the Moscow, which will further enhance travel options for the residents of both cities” said AK Nizar, Head of Commercial Department, Air Arabia. “Since the introduction of service to Moscow in October 2011, Air Arabia has seen great demand on this route. We are confident that the increase in frequency of service to the Russian capital will further enhance travel and tourism ties between the two nations by offering customers the choice for a great value and service.”

Moscow, with a population in excess of 10.5 million, is the most populous city in Russia, the largest nation on earth, and is the country’s economic and political centre. The UAE is home to an increasingly significant Russian expatriate community, and is also one of the preferred holiday destinations for residents of the country.
