Sustainability at Air Arabia
With the global aviation industry committed to achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, the way aircraft are designed, fueled, and operated is undergoing a fundamental transformation. At Air Arabia, we fully align with this ambition and recognize the responsibility we carry as a leading low-budget airline to drive meaningful, measurable progress.
By investing in sustainability today, we are actively contributing to innovations that will define the future of aviation by reducing emissions, enhancing efficiency, and supporting a cleaner, greener planet for generations to come.
Greener Operations
We have already adopted multiple proactive measures to reduce our climate impact and enhance sustainability across our operations. These measures reflect our commitment to responsible growth across every stage of our operations, including:
Transition to 100% biodegradable onboard products.
Fleet modernization to improve fuel efficiency and reduce emissions.
Digital transformation initiatives to optimize resource use.
Energy and water conservation across facilities and operations.
Fuel efficiency programs to minimize carbon intensity.
Our Fleet
We operate a modern fleet of Airbus aircraft designed for comfort, operational efficiency, and reliable travel experiences. With an operating fleet of Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, our fleet is purpose-built to deliver consistent performance across our expanding network.
Our commitment to sustainable aviation is reflected in our ongoing fleet renewal program. In 2025, we have received five brand-new Airbus A320neo aircraft as part of our 120-aircraft Airbus A320 family order, delivering up to 20% lower fuel burn and CO₂ emissions compared to previous-generation aircraft. Additional deliveries are scheduled in the coming years, supporting our commitment to maintaining a young fleet while reducing fuel consumption and lowering emissions across our operations.
