The first one is King Fahd´s Fountain, also known as Jeddah Fountain. This is the biggest salt water fountain of the world; it jets the water about 312 meters above the Red Sea. The fountain has been given as a present by King Fahd to the city Jeddah. The best time to visit the fountain is at dawn or during the evening. From Jeddah´s Corniche you will enjoy wonderful views as the fountain is lighted with 500 spotlights and it dominates Jeddah´s skyline, so you can not miss it.
The next spot to visit near Jeddah´s Corniche is the Floating Mosque. This is one of the most loved and visited sites in Jeddah. The mosque is called the floating mosque because it´s placed right on the Red Sea, and when the tide is high it is surrounded by water.
The third place to see is the Makkah Gate, this is one of the oldest ones in Saudi Arabia. The gate serves as one of the main entrances for Hajj pilgrims. During this period it will be a busy place as many people from all over the world come to see it. Out of all Jeddah´s sights the Makkah Gate is the most prominent one.
