Air Arabia selects Sharklets for its new A320 fleet

Delivery of Air Arabia’s order of 44 Airbus A320s (34 placed in 2007 and 10 in 2008) has already started in the last quarter of 2010 and will make the carrier one of the region’s largest A320 operators with one of the most modern single-aisle fleets.

Air Arabia starts operations from RAK International Airport

Air Arabia starts twice weekly service to Armenia’s capital city

Air Arabia (PJSC), the first and largest low-cost carrier (LCC) in the Middle East and North Africa, announced today that it will begin offering a twice weekly service to Yerevan, Armenia, from August 2013.

Air Arabia strengthens Russia operations, launches service to Kazan

Air Arabia, the first and largest low-cost carrier (LCC) in the Middle East and North Africa, announced that it has added its third destination in Russia with the launch of flights to Kazan. The new route is Air Arabia’s fourth destination in Russia and will become the carrier’s ninth destination in CIS and Russian Federation, as well as its 78th worldwide.

Air Arabia strengthens service to GCC markets with additional daily Kuwait flight

Air Arabia today announced the expansion of Kuwait services from its Sharjah hub to three daily flights, further strengthening the airline’s services to the country. With the launch of the additional service, Air Arabia will now operate three daily flights to the city of Kuwait. 

Air Arabia takes delivery of first aircraft in 2012

Air Arabia, the first and largest low cost carrier in the Middle East and North Africa, announced today it has taken delivery of its first A320 aircraft in 2012, bringing its total fleet to 30 aircraft. Air Arabia has now received nine of the 44 A320 aircraft it has ordered from Airbus in 2007.
 
Air Arabia expects a total of six aircraft will be delivered in 2012. Once completed in 2016, the delivery of the 44 A320 aircraft will more than double the size of Air Arabia’s existing fleet, bringing the airline’s total operating fleet to over 50 aircraft.
