Air Arabia first quarter 2014 net profit soars to AED 75 million, up 27 per cent

Air Arabia (PJSC), the first and largest low-cost carrier (LCC) in the Middle East and North Africa, announced today its financial results for the three months ending March 31, 2014, reflecting the airline’s solid financials, strong business model and broad customer base.

Air Arabia reported a net profit of AED 75 million for the three months ending March 31, 2014, representing an increase of 27 per cent compared to AED 59 million reported in the corresponding quarter of 2013.

Air Arabia flies high with strong passenger numbers

Air Arabia, the first and largest low-cost carrier (LCC) in the Middle East and North Africa, today announced that it has welcomed 1.3 million passengers in the second quarter of 2012, an increase of over 15 per cent compared to the corresponding period in 2011. In June 2012 alone, the airline carried some 466,474 customers - the highest number of passengers that the airline handled in a month by far.
 

Air Arabia fourth quarter net profit rises seven per cent to AED 78.7 million

Air Arabia (PJSC), the Middle East and North Africa’s first and largest low-cost carrier, reported today a net profit of AED 78.7 million for the three months ending December 31, 2011, an increase of seven per cent compared to AED 73.6 million in the fourth quarter of 2010. 

The company’s turnover for the fourth quarter 2011 reached AED 638 million, an increase of 17 per cent compared to AED 544.8 million in 2010. Air Arabia carried 1,180,402 passengers in the final three months of last year, up two per cent compared to the same period in 2010.
