Flying from:

Paper Planes to the Real Thing Courtesy Lamcy Plaza and Air Arabia

11 September 2011

Head to Lamcy Plaza and try your luck with paper planes as part of the mall’s new ‘Shop and Fly for Free’ extravaganza. Conceptualized in conjunction with Air Arabia, the mall is giving shoppers the chance to win air tickets to the destination of their choice and also indulge in some healthy competition.

The premise is simple---shoppers who spend AED 200 will be entered into a raffle draw.  30 lucky winners will win airline tickets courtesy Air Arabia to any destination of their choice including Istanbul, Luxor, Mumbai, Colombo, Muscat, Damascus and Nairobi to name a few of the exotic destinations on that list.

In addition to this, shoppers at the mall can enjoy that age-old hobby of ‘paper plane flying’ but this time to win exciting spot prizes. How does this work? An Air Arabia airplane cutout is displayed on the ground floor of the mall.  The object is to get a paper plane to fly through one of the 4 windows of the plane. Every contestant will be given 2 tries.

Tim Jones, COO of Lamcy Plaza & Arabian Center, said, “Not only do we strive to offer our shoppers the best retail experience possible, we also keep things fresh and exciting with unique promotions that resonate with the different demographics who make up our customer base.  Whether it’s a ticket to the holiday destination of your choice, a ticket to go home for the holidays or just a chance to play with paper planes, it’s all up for grabs at Lamcy Plaza.”

The promotion starts on September 15th and ends on October 8th.  So get flying!
