Visit the Qaysari Bazaar, a traditional bazar, which stands at the foot of the Erbil citadel. This ancient souq, which can trace its roots to the 13th century, offers a host of bargains. It stocks everything from gold to household items.
Mudhafaria Minaret is a great cultural stopover. The minaret is 36-meters high and was built in AD1190–1232 during the reign of king Muzaffar Al-Din Abu Sa’eed Al-Kawkaboori
The Erbil Citadel Town, which is situated on top of an artificial, 32-meters high earthen mound, is believed to be 7000 years old. This ancient Unesco World heritage site is often regarded the oldest continuously inhabited settlement in the world
