The purpose of this role is to communicate and monitor the adherence of crew to long/short term crewing schedules and rosters; also to ensure the availability and compliance of needed crew for the agreed routes as per the commercial plans.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Assists the Supervisor / Manager for preparing, amending, updating and publishing cost-effective rostering plans to accommodate Air Arabia Sharjah and other Hub crewing needs, timely and cost-effectively as per Air Arabia policies and procedures and GCAA/CAA/IATA related legality.
  • Supports in implementing related policies and operating procedures; applies the set of standards and measures to comply with commercial, quality, and regulatory bodies’ requirements within the workplace.
  • Plans and prepares crew pairings based on the commercial plan and recommends changes so that optimum crew utilization is achieved; ensures adherence to and compliance with Fatigue Risk Management (FRMS) standards and requirements throughout the entire process.
  • Prepares the daily duty sheet considering crew compliments, GCAA regulations and requirements of languages for all flights operated by Air Arabia. Reviews the rosters for any errors or FDP/Crew violations by running relevant reports on CESAR prior to Supervisor/Manager’s approvals.
  • Communicates to Flight/Cabin crew the corresponding rostering schedules as per adopted procedures ensuring they are notified and updated with any amendments to their published rosters on time.
  • Executes new flights loading based on the agreed parameters and target hours in CESAR monthly; updates the CESAR with accurate crew and flight data, including exclusions, and timely plans the ALV (Average Line Value) for the year to follow.
  • Responds to changes and business needs timely and efficiently especially during emergencies and ad-hoc scenarios; recommends and executes effective solutions and alternate plans during flight disruptions ensuring optimum utilization of crew.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and support to crew members by responding to reasonable requests for absence, and changes based on sickness, emergency leave, flight delays, etc. without compromising the Company’s interests or requirements.
  • Coordinates replacements of rescheduled crew in an efficient manner in coordination with crew planning and control and operations control center team to ensure successful and cost-effective results.
  • Monitors the Flight/Cabin crew duty and training rosters and attendance to ensure strict and prompt adherence to schedules and to the GCAA regulations and Air Arabia operating procedures. Updates the expiry dates for licenses and trainings in due time in order to achieve legality of crew.
  • Processes flights crewing related expenditure, credit hours, payroll, allowances, payments and invoices, reconciliations with Hubs all in line with approved budget and set standards; highlights irregularities to supervisor/manager whenever needed.
  • Generates function related reports monthly/yearly such as productivity, safety, and fatigue reports to support the Operations department requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management/Math or equivalent from a recognized university is highly desirable for this role; alternately, a diploma in a related field (aviation, aeronautical engineering, management) is acceptable if combined with necessary working experience.
  • Proficient in airlines crewing systems, Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel), Internet, Web Search
  • Very good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluent in English Language and Arabic is an advantage.

Work Experience:

  • 4+ years of working experience with an Airline Company in scheduling or administrative role in the flight/cabin crew department; experience with low cost airline is a plus.

  • Deputizes the Operations Controller in assessing accidents/incidents and in initiating the Emergency Response Accident/ Incident Notification Procedures as well as the corporate notification process.
  • Ensures all LIDO Flight Planning data maintenance related functions are carried out so that all OFP’s are produced in consideration to all applicable regulatory, AIP requirements.
  • Monitors the flight plans on daily basis ensuring necessary data maintenance is properly carried and Flight Plans are produced in line with applicable regulations.
  • Liaises with LIDO on any flight plans related issues, to implement remedial actions immediately.
  • Ensures smooth workflow between shifts by carrying proper handover/takeover pre and post flights.

Qualifications:

This On Job Training gives an opportunity to get hands on experience on working in the flight dispatch department of Middle East and North Africa's first and largest Low Cost Carrier.

Key responsibilities:

  • Performing the pre-flight duties as the cabin crew prepare for the flight.
  • Providing the pilot with the advised route for an individual flight.
  • Assessing weather reports and informing the pilot of any hazards.
  • Reviewing aircraft weight, fuel loads and cargo loads.
  • General duties to ensure the aircraft is safe and ready to fly.
  • Reporting to air traffic control and airport staff about departure times, and after departure, providing reports on aircraft status and predicted arrival times.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Hold a high school graduation or higher education certificate.
  • Should have completed GCAA certified dispatcher course or in possession of a valid dispatcher license from accepted authority.
  • Acceptable English communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
  • Willingness to work in shifts for the entire period of 90 days of training
  • Sound knowledge of MS office & MS windows
  • Sound knowledge of mathematics and physics.

Period of Training:

  • 90 days (Full Time)

Visa Requirement:

  • Should be on a UAE resident visa or a UAE employment visa (with a valid no objection certificate from employer)

OJT Training Fee:

  • The selected trainee candidate will be required to pay an OJT training fee of AED 2,000.

About the job
The purpose of this role is to perform routine and non-routine maintenance on ABY and 3rd party aircraft in a cost-effective manner without violating safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities:

  • Carry out maintenance on ABY and 3rd party aircrafts during A and C checks and unscheduled inputs up to or exceeding Air Arabia GCAA standard.
  • Regularly monitor the aircraft defect status sheet and ensures defects are cleared during maintenance without causing operation delay while adhering to the required standard.
  • Carry out routine and non-routine cards without causing input delay beyond the allocated ground time for the check or maintenance required.
  • Utilize the Technicians effectively and professionally without violating safety and quality standards.
  • Update the Shift Manager of any issues arises which can be of a concern or could result in operational disruption or involve a drop in acceptable service standards.
  • Advise the Shift Manager / Tool stores of equipment or tooling shortfalls that could potentially affect aircraft maintenance inputs.
  • Carry out technical projects / tasks as directed by Shift Manager or Line Manager.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Holder of a valid UAE GCAA Aircraft Maintenance Engineers license or ICAO state member licensed type with recent experience of (6) months within last 2 years and with A320/CFM56-5 type rating endorsed.
  • Minimum of 6 years in aviation maintenance out of which 2 years as A320 certifying engineer without any limitation/ restrictions (having CRS).
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • PC literate
  • Willing to work under harsh weather conditions and in rotating shift patters.
