1. What is Travel Secure by Air Arabia ?
Travel Secure is a travel insurance program that is oered by Air Arabia to its customers booking online on www.airarabia.com. It is a policy underwritten by the insurance company and issued by the country of origin of travel.

2. How do I purchase Travel Secure from Air Arabia ?
You can purchase Travel Secure while booking your ights on www.airarabia.com

3. Who can purchase Travel Secure from Air Arabia ?
Any Air Arabia passenger over 2 years of age can purchase Travel Secure while booking their ights. The passenger has to be a valid and legal resident of the country where he/ she is ying from.

4. Does Travel Secure from Air Arabia enforce an age limit?
No, there is no age limit for purchase of travel insurance. Any person over the age of 2 years can purchase Travel Secure travel insurance. For passengers above 64 years certain excesses apply. For details click here or refer to the product details and description.

5. How do I purchase Travel Secure for my infant?
Currently the Travel Secure for Air Arabia passengers is not oered to infants below 2 years traveling on the airline.

6. What is the coverage period for my Travel Secure travel insurance?
Travel Secure covers you for the duration of your trip or to a maximum of 15, 30, 45, 60 or 90 days from the date of travel based on the travel dates provided.

7. Am I still covered by Travel Secure if I catch a connecting flight to a different destination?
Under Travel Secure, air travel coverage is only limited to Air Arabia ights and Air Arabia destinations.

8. What do I do if I encounter an accident abroad?
For 24-hr emergency assistance, please contact one of the following numbers/email addresses based on your location:

It is important that you call these numbers, provided by AIG, as detailed in your policy before taking any action.

9. Can I cancel my Travel Secure?
All Travel Secure insurance purchased from www.airarabia.com is non-cancellable.

10. Is Travel Secure premium refundable?
No, as the Travel Secure travel insurance is not cancelable the premium is non-refundable.

11. Can I amend my Travel Secure policy?
Yes, the Travel Secure policy can be modied/amended in special cases, but such change can only be made prior to the departure of the rst part of the journey.

12. What happens to my Travel Secure if Air Arabia reschedules my Return Flight to a later date?
Your Travel Secure is automatically extended up to a maximum of 3 days if your Return Flight is rescheduled by Air Arabia to a later date.

13. Do I have to carry a copy of my Certificate of Insurance with me when traveling?
No, you don't need to carry a copy of your Certificate of Insurance. All you need is your Certificate Number, which will be available to you from the email you will receive after purchasing the plan and the 24-hr Emergency Assistance phone numbers

14. What do I do if I did not receive or lost my Certificate of Insurance?
In an event that you have not received the insurance certificate via email you can re-print or view the policy by clicking on the policy reprint section under Air Arabia travel insurance pages or by clicking here

15. Where can I get the full terms and condition of my Travel Secure?

16. What kind of benefits do I get with Travel Secure?

17. When does my Travel Secure coverage begin?
For Comprehensive return trip Plans, coverage begins when you purchase the insurance policy.

18. How will my outpatient medical expenses be paid under Travel Secure?
You will be reimbursed for medical expenses incurred as a result of a covered sickness & accident as detailed in the terms and conditions.

19. If I require treatment for an illness during my trip, can I claim for medical/hospital and other related expenses?
Yes Travel Secure covers emergency sickness medical expenses. This can be claimed as detailed in the claims procedure for covered sickness.

20. Does Travel Secure cover sports and other similar activities?
No, currently Travel Secure does not cover sports and similar activities. For more details, please refer to the detailed terms & Condition of coverage.

21. Can I cancel my trip for any reason and get all my money back through my Trip Cancellation Benefit?
The Trip Cancellation Benet is only applicable for insurable reasons indicated in the detailed Terms & Condition of coverage section. Covered reasons include, but are not limited to, unforeseen emergencies such as illness, injury or death involving you, your travel companion and/or an immediate family member. Pre-existing Conditions are not covered.

22. Can I buy Travel Secure if I have a pre-existing condition?
Yes. However, Travel Secure has exclusions on pre-existing conditions as detailed in the Terms & Conditions of coverage section.

"Pre-existing Condition" refers to injury, sickness, disease, illness or other medical conditions that you knew about before you purchased Travel Secure.

23. Does my Baggage & Personal Effects Benefit cover theft?
Yes, Travel Secure covers theft (and damage due to attempted theft) as long as it occurs during your scheduled ight with Air Arabia .

CLAIMS

24. How do I file a claim?
In the event of an insurance claim, you can download a copy of our Claim Form which is available in customer support section of Travel Secure by Air Arabia here. After completing, please fax or post it to the contact information indicated in the document.

25. How long is the claim processing time?
Claims will be processed within 14 days after you have submitted all required documentation.

26. What is the time limit for filing a claim?
All claims must be submitted within 30 days of your Policy End Date.

27. What do I do if I disagree with the claims decision made?
Travel Secure from Air Arabia will advise you in writing of your right to appeal the claim decision and of the procedures for ling an appeal with the local insurance company.

28. Can I contact AIG Travel Claims if I wish to amend or cancel my travel itinerary?
No. AIG Travel Claims will only assist in ling your claim if you have cancelled or cut short your trip.

29. Can I file a claim if Air Arabia has cancelled my flight?
No. Travel Secure does not cover a claim if the airline cancels the fight.

Type of Claim Documents Required
Canceling and Cutting short your trip
  1. Insurance policy schedule/certifcate of insurance/tour operators booking invoice showing payment of your insurance premium.
  2. Original evidence to substantiate travel e.g. booking invoice, travel itinerary, tickets, Insurance Certificate / Document.
  3. All unused and used travel tickets, itineraries etc
  4. If curtailment is due to the medical condition, including death, of someone with whom you have booked to travel or a Relative or friend living abroad with whom You plan to stay please have the attached medical certificate completed by the usual medical practitioner of the individual whose condition has caused the submission of this claim.
  5. If curtailment was due to an injury or illness sufered by an individual appearing on the certificate of insurance and who traveled on the holiday, please provide the written confrmation of the physician who treated the individual in resort that curtailment was medically necessary.
  6. If curtailment is due to a death we require a certified copy of the death certificate. In addition if the deceased was insured under the certificate upon which this claim is being submitted we require a copy of the Grant of Probate/Letters of Administration issued in respect of the deceased's estate.
  7. If this claim is being submitted as a result of an injury please provide a full description of the incident leading to the injury, if a third party was involved please provide their details and those of their insurer if available.
  8. If curtailment is for a reason other than those detailed in points 3 and 4 please forward independent written evidence of the incident or circumstances that have resulted in the submission of the claim.
  9. The original holiday cancellation invoice. If your booking was fight only you may not be able to obtain this document, if this is the case please provide a written statement to this efect from the travel agent.
  10. If cancellation is due to redundancy we require a letter from your former employer which confrms that you have been made redundant and are due to receive a payment under current Redundancy Payment Legislation, the position you held and your length of service.
  11. If cancellation is on medical grounds, including death, the attached medical certificate(s) must be completed by the usual medical practitioner of the individual whose condition has led to the submission of the claim.
Travel Delay
  1. Copy of your ticket showing the original itinerary.
  2. Copy of boarding pass of planned travel.
  3. A dated o_cial con_rmation letter from the Airlines stating the reason for delay and duration of delay.
Medical and other expenses & Personal Accident
  1. Original prescriptions and invoices.
  2. Any medical report and/or information given on the site of the medical emergency.
  3. Passport copies showing the exit & entry dates.
Missed departure
  1. Copy of your ticket showing the original itinerary.
  2. Con_rmation of the reason for the delay and how long it lasts from the appropriate authority.
Personal belongings and baggage
  1. Copy of your ticket showing the itinerary.
  2. Copy of Baggage Tags.
  3. PIR + A dated o_cial con_rmation letter from the Airlines that the baggage is loss or delayed (duration of delay).
Passport and travel documents
  1. Invoices for the cost of replacing Your passport, travel tickets, Green Cards and admission tickets prepaid before Your departure.
